Professionalism, experience, education and our must-have's for onboard attendance

Time and results efficiency on completing installation projects and solving technical issues on time, usually under conditions of pressure, requires a combination of experience, coordination and proper education.

The first SRH Technical Department was established officially in 1996, in order to cover the massive installation needs of the newcomer GMDSS, and thereafter, following the increase of our satisfied customers, has been expanded to our today’s integrated man-power.


As Thrane & Thrane OSC and being in contact with equipment manufacturers of all major Representations, SRH is constantly updated on upcoming training sessions and is able to schedule properly the attendance of service technicians, following the evolution of new technology. In additional, by receiving service bulletins, updates and supporting software by manufacturers, the information flow is maintained on every-day basis.

But proper education is not only knowledge on equipment. Professionalism and responsibility are other “must-have” qualifications, especially for technical personnel, whose hands you will trust to interfere with vessel's equipment. SRH is well organized to keep safety stock of Products and support Spare Parts supply when required, however our technicians will proceed in any replacement only upon your approval. From the moment of such evaluation, our office team gets instant feedback from the onboard technician, and arranges to inform you accordingly, by consulting and deciding together the best option for you, in order to minimize cost, time loss and future problems.

In case of new equipment installation, technician is also able to demonstrate to your onboard operators the features and proper use of your new equipment.

Our 250 s.m. shore laboratory includes the required equipment and is approved to test EPIRB in real conditions in order to perform EPIRB Shore Based Maintenance, as required by SOLAS reg IV/15.9.2 as amended with MSC /Circ.1039, on Jotron, Sailor and McMurdo EPIRBs.
 
SRH technical library including installation, operation, maintenance and service manuals, is a valuable database which covers almost every old or new equipment onboard.

SRH can provide upon request Vessel Tracking services, and LRIT activations.

Service and Installation services are even more flexible, as we can send our technicians to attend your vessel in worldwide ports upon request.
